PRAYER JOURNAL
Asking For Knowledge
March 12, 1988:
Please dear God, help us to comprehend and be knowledgeable about the Lord’s scriptures.
We know to move forward shrewdly and remove spiritual doubt so we must pray as believers.
It confuses us terribly when we see human suffering. It grieves us deeply with dismay.
We look for answers as to why and how God allows such misfortunes occur each day.
Then we recall the scripture of Job. What right do we have to question our Lord? Those teachings help to ease our apprehension and restore spiritual reasoning that we ignored.
Asking For Comfort and Strength
March 13, 1988:
Dear Jesus, we love to pray to you, giving honor and praise, even for long hours.
Because it feels genuine. And, we experience an inside calming, with cleansing showers.
When praying to you, we receive comfort within our souls, more than ever before.
Moreover, we gain strength in our hearts and souls providing gratification evermore.
Asking For Forgiveness
March 14, 1998:
Dear Jesus, we ask forgiveness for our ignorance. We have so many benefits that we should be aware of.
Yet, so often we actualize more of our physical tangibles than we capture your spirit of love.
We understand earthly things, and the material observable more than we should--versus Godly spirit.
We find it so very difficult to be good Christians of deserving merit.
We should better serve you, and spread Jesus’ faith and words.
Everywhere and in every way possible for others, also, to reap faith’s rewards.
As Jesus’ believers, trusting in you, we experience spiritual peacefulness.
With our faith in you, Dear Jesus, within our hearts, welcomes usefulness, learning, and purposefulness.
Asking For Answers to Prayers
March 15, 1988:
Dear Jesus Christ and God, the Almighty, we should fall to our knees.
Again and again, and we will never understand how you forgive our vanities.
The Lord is so gracious to us in our daily lives yet, we are complacent how God answers prayers.
We ask for answers and continually request God to correct our incredulous and imperfect affairs.
We promise, again and again, that we will triumph in our loyalty to Jesus Christ.
Always declaratory that we be blessed by you with eternal life and paradise. Amen.
Asking For Endurance and Prudent Decisions
March 16, 1998:
Dear Jesus, we find love, comfort and great consolation in writing our prayers to you.
We sense inward peace of mind in your words and all that love and strong faith can do.
Dear Lord, help us to follow your exemplary ways and keep us on your righteous path.
Fortify our safety from Satan's vexation and all-powerful devilment wrath.
Dear Jesus, manifest your wisdom in us--that can enable our good judgment and not be misled.
Enhance our incentive in body and soul for an obedient spirit in days ahead.
We need endurance and prudent decisions--as we see--looking forward to troublesome days. Nations are at war, children besieged by misconceptions, people deceptively misguided.
We are helpless in so many different ways, and can only pray to God on how to deal with evil encircling a presence that is so fractured and divided.
Asking For Guidance and Inspiration
March 17, 1998:
Dear God, Almighty! Thank you for loving us, despite all our trespasses and transgressions.
We need so much of your guidance, strength, patience, trust, teaching, and answers to our questions.
The evil on earth is consuming and all around us daily, causing an overshadow and divide.
Dear Lord, we are determined to learn your spiritual word and apply it with energy and pride.
We feel an eagerness deep within our soul to abide by Jesus' words and improve worthiness.
We ask for your guidance and inspiration that will enable our spiritual significance with essence.
However, we realize we are earthly and mundane. We adhere to the familiar and unbelieving.
We pray forgiveness from an influence of mistrust, being cynical, distrustful and disbelieving.
We truly pray for help with our questioning and 'show-me attitude' toward Godly Spiritualism.
Dear Lord, we pray for continual steadfast, unremitting and everlasting spiritual optimism.
Asking For Spiritual Reasoning
March 17, 1998: Evening Prayer:
Please, Dear God, help us endeavor to become more understanding and find wisdom in the Lord’s scriptures.
We pray to find comforting strength and faithfulness by overcoming spiritual doubt and the words of non-believers.
We are so sadly affected when we see so much human suffering. It aggressively grieves us with hurt and dismay.
We pray for answers as to why God does not correct the tribulations and disappointments occurring each day.
Then we, again. must look to the bible and remember scriptures. There is so much of the unknown and who are we--that we dare question our Lord?
We pray for the teachings of God's Word to help us better interpret and restore our spirit and faith as we study forward. Amen.
Asking For Insightful and Optimistic Minds
Special Evening Prayer:
Dear Jesus, please give us wisdom to live righteously with optimistic behavior.
We ask to be worthy and benefit others by becoming good examples for Jesus our savior.
We pray you will provide us with strength to overcome earthly sorrows that distress us sadly.
We continue to ask for an insightful mind with percipience, we need so badly.
For in this world--too much grief, unhappiness, killing, violence and strife thrives.
It's so difficult to undergo and know others endure heartbreak, evil, and sorrow in their lives.
We find faith difficult to maintain and courage, when we see life fall apart into obscurity.
Like blowing dust, or tide washing out, we cannot grasp complication and insecurity.
Dear Jesus please lift our spirits in times of trouble and bring cheer to our hearts within.
We experience too many challenges facing us daily that weaken our vulnerable conviction.
Dear Lord, it would be no surprise if you came for us today as the living values need purifying.
Deceit and chicanery abound by intensity, and life's violence is overwhelming and terrifying.
AMEN -
